Josh Burton

Burton joins GTFC with an extensive background as a player and coach in the Ohio soccer community. He is originally from Carharrack, a small village in the South West coast of England. He moved to the US in 2015 to play soccer and study marketing at the University of Findlay. During his time at Findlay, he earned 1st Team All-Region and 1st Team All-Conference honors, captained the team for 2 of the 3 seasons that he played, scored 20 goals and assisted 9. Currently, Burton is the Head Coach of Van Buren High School Girls Soccer going into his 4th season. In the 2022 season he lead them to finish with the best record since 2014, were unbeaten at home, scored the most goals since 2011 and conceded the least goals since 2017. He also coached for Pacesetter South for 3 years, working with U13/14 boys before taking on the girls U16/17 teams.
