GTFC Impact Girls Program

Impact Girls Player Pathway

girls player pathway

At GTFC Impact, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our players, families, and coaches in the Northwest Ohio area. We develop great soccer players but our goal is to develop great people too. Individual player development comes first, and because children develop at different rates, we offer various programming levels to ensure that every player is challenged to grow.

A Plan for Every Player and Every Age:

We see player development as a process, not a destination, and we have a plan for every player. Our staff includes some of the most experienced in the region and we have tailored a curriculum to every age designed to unleash potential.

U5 - U11:

Kids at the younger ages are learning to LOVE the game and HAVE FUN. We aim to fuel their passion by teaching basic principles of the game using game-real situations. Player development is the focus rather than results. Players are placed on teams based on their experience so they are continually challenged. Play hard. Work together. Have fun!  As players make the transition from the recreational level to travel soccer, GTFC Impact offers a number of programs to suit families' needs and commitment levels.

  • GTFC Impact Development League (IDL) -- A program tailored for players ages 4-8 of all experience levels looking to begin a soccer career or enhance and develop existing skills.
  • GTFC Impact Premier Competitive Travel Teams – Players must try out to be placed on our competitive teams coached by elite coaches following our club curriculum.
  • GTFC Impact Premier White/White/Blue Travel Teams -- Players must try out to be placed on our competitive teams coached by elite coaches following our club curriculum.
  • Camps, Clinics and Supplemental Fitness Training -- For players who want to continually improve their games.
  • Athlete Nutrition Consulting – Access to our staff nutritionist to take our athletes to the next level in soccer and life.
  • Seasonal Coach Evaluations – All players are evaluated and given elite-level feedback at the end of each season to push their skills to the next level.
  • Keeper Training (if applicable)– Our goalkeepers work with our Director of Goalkeeping to develop their skills and enhance their understanding of the game.

U12 - U14:

Lots of changes happen between the tween and teenage groups from both a physiological and soccer perspective. Kids' bodies are changing and growth spurts may throw off a player's balance and coordination. From a soccer standpoint, players become more serious about the game, and they begin to see the game from a tactical perspective. Players are more aware of how their actions and effort level can truly affect the outcome of a match. Player development still tops results and mistakes and creativity are encouraged. Players are placed on teams by ability to ensure they are challenged every time they step on the field.

  • GTFC Impact Premier Competitive Travel Teams – Players must try out to be placed on our competitive teams coached by elite coaches following our club curriculum. Premier players begin to travel regionally in addition to national events for exposure to the next level of play and development of the game.

  • VIDEO ANALYSIS- At this age, players benefit from our club use of video recording and analysis. All players will have access to film and work with our elite coaches to dissect technique and game intelligence.

U15 - U19:

Players become serious about soccer. Decisions start to be made about whether or not soccer is going to be a lifelong love or just a fun pastime. At these ages, players begin to fully understand the technical and tactical aspects of the game. Our focus for players at these ages is developing quick, smart, strong and confident athletes who want to excel as college athletes and beyond. The recruitment process starts now, as a result we offer 3-4 regional and national showcases per year.
