Dean Joseph was born in Durban South Africa and played club soccer for Virgina United. He was the player coach at Northlands Boys High his senior year of high school. Post-grad, he was selected for senior provincial team in 1990 where he then went on to play professionally for Stella FC and African Wanderers FC prior to coming to the United States on scholarship to William Carey College in Mississippi. In 1994, Joseph transferred to Tiffin University graduating with a Bachelor's degree on Sport Management and Marketing. His coaching career in Toledo originally began at the Toledo Celtics, GTFC, and Pacesetter throughout the 1990's. In 2000, he became the Director of Coaching at Jackson Futbol Club before moving on to start a college program at Mississippi Valley State. After 12 years in college coaching and stops at Jackson State and University of Louisiana Monroe, Joseph began coaching at Northwest Rankin High. While at Northwest Rankin, he founded and formed the International Futbol Club and was a Director of Coaching working with the academy and college recruitment. In 2020 Dean Joseph was hired by Tiffin University to head up the women's soccer program until he reunited with the GTFC Impact family as the Girls Program Director of Coaching in 2021.
