Mini-Kickers Program
The Mini-Kickers program is a wonderful new opportunity brought to you by the
Greater Toledo Futbol Club. This program is designed to provide the beginning
level of soccer for the youth of the Toledo area. Players ages 4-8 who love the
sport are brought together with some of the finest professional coaches in the
game of soccer to enrich their soccer knowledge and develop proficiency within
the building blocks of the game.
It has been said, that even among soccer experts, there are many different philosophies regarding player development. However, there is also a basic list of fundamental characteristics that most experts agree must be included at an early stage in a soccer player's development. Among these characteristics are: quality coaching at a young age, quality training, competition and playing with other talented kids. The Mini-Kickers program is focused on providing all four of these vital objectives.
All players will receive five weeks of professional coaching in a soccer friendly, learning oriented environment. Each child will learn the game in a fun, yet challenging arena. The program focuses on the beginning stages of a soccer player’s development. Included in every session will be work on balance, coordination, agility, ball and body control, small-sided games, FUN-damentals, learning and laughter.
The Mini-Kickers program is designed for 4-8 year old soccer players, both those new to the game and those with "experience" who just can’t get enough. There are no tryouts for the Mini-Kickers program − all players are welcome! It is our goal to impact players in a way that gets them to learn the game in a fun, yet challenging environment that will encourage them to continue to grow and develop in to the best soccer player they can be. It all starts with the Mini-Kickers!!!
