Mike began his coaching career in 1996 in New Mexico with a local youth club. He then moved home to Longmont Colorado where he began coaching for the club he played in as a youth, now called the St. Vrain Express. He was at St. Vrain for 5 years before moving on to high school soccer. He was involved with the varsity and junior varsity programs for both boys and girls at Skyline High School in Longmont until 2003. In 2004 he moved to Toledo where he joined the GTFC Staff and coached a variety of teams and age groups. Mike was the varsity coach at Notre Dame from 2007-2010 and the Assistant Varsity Coach at St. Ursula Academy in 2011. He holds his USSF National D.
Mike's primary role with the club as a coach will continue to be with the junior program (U13-U18) although we will all integrate with younger age groups at times to keep a strong and unified club. He will also serve as a technical advisor to the younger age groups providing analysis and feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of those programs as well as assistance in building and maintaining a club curriculum.
