Background:

Mike grew up playing club soccer in the Toledo area before attending St. John's Jesuit High School. After graduating from SJJ in 1991 he enrolled at Miami University for a year before returning to the area to complete his undergraduate work at the University of Toledo. After playing a year of professional indoor soccer in the U.S.I.S.L. he entered the coaching ranks. In 1996 Mike was instrumental in forming the Greater Toledo Futbol Club where he has been the Director of Coaching since 1997. In addition to his role with GTFC he has been an Ohio North State Team coach for several years and was the assistant varsity coach at Notre Dame Academy for two years. With strong roots in Northwest Ohio Mike continues to be the core of the most stable and consistent coaching staff in the area.
